A Time of Worry
I'm getting a bit worried about our state of affairs here. I saw on one of the major news stations (MSNBC or CNN, not sure which) that the current unemployment rate for South Carolina is at 10.4%. Over 1 in 10 people there are jobless and that scares the hell out of me. Good hard working Americans are losing their jobs all over some douchebags in the housing market trying to make a quick buck. The only reason this doesn't drive me to the point of rage is that I subscribe to the idea of for there to be evil, there must be good, and vice versa. This makes me believe that the evil bankers are balanced somehow by the existance of good people in the world. Problem is that the good people are rarely the ones with money or power. I just want to see honesty in the world again. I want to see men and women helping each other get by. I know there is still love out there, I had a friend of mine prove that recently. I won't go into details but just know that even in these troubled times, love will find a way.
